The Columbus McKinnon Corporation, parent to Univeyor, has grown 42 percent in the last year, with sales now running at US$750 million. This progress has already had an impact in the range of services available to the UK market, according to Univeyor Conveying Systems Limited's General Manager, Peter Brotherton.

To focus their developing business areas around market and customer requirements, Columbus McKinnon have structured their various operations worldwide into two major divisions, a Products Division for the vast range of CM and Yale Industrial Products equipment, and an Integrated Solutions Division developing and implementing automated handling systems and engineered solutions on a worldwide basis (see Plate 3).

The Integrated Solutions Division, with a worldwide turnover in excess of US$250 million, includes Univeyor Conveying Systems, LICO and solution oriented product areas such as manipulators company Positec and American Lifts. In all markets the expertise and systems engineering capabilities of the group gives clients access to a single source capability for complete facility design.
