NEOS Robotics AB acquired SMT Machine AB on 1 December 2001 to form SMT Tricept AB. The new company unites industrial tradition and craftsmanship with innovative technical solutions and visions of the future. The synergistic effects accompanying the union will revitalize the operation and, in pure concrete terms, bolster resources in product development, production and aftermarket. From the start, SMT Tricept will be one of the leading players on the international market for metal cutting through its Swedturn and Tricept brands.

We are planning a turnover of over 200 MSEK during 2002 with considerable expansion over the coming years. Our goal is that in three years SMT Tricept will be twice as large as it is today. We will achieve this goal by meeting our clients on their terms – by being flexible, smart and enhancing our skills and expertise in metal cutting. We will focus on increased commitment throughout the lifetime of the product, not least by enhancing our service organization. The Swedturn and Tricept brands stand for good quality, commitment and long product lifetime.

During the first quarter this year one service and sales office has been opened outside Sweden, in Chicago, USA, and another will be opened in Stuttgart, Germany. This move will enable SMT Tricept to work on a broader basis, and more actively with our clients and integrators, in the central European and North American markets.

On 8 April we will move all our business in Sweden to the main office in Vasteras, at SMT Machines premises. At that time we will also launch our new graphical profile.
