A system for guiding the path of an autonomous mobile robot is described. The robot is guided towards a fixed station to recharge its energy or discharge elements collected by the robot.
The system utilises a directional infrared beam emitted by the fixed station. The mobile robot includes a microcomputer that controls its direction by detecting the infrared emission from the fixed station.
