This book provides an in‐depth overview of neurotechnology and its applications to biologically inspired robotics. It addresses five main areas which are strategically important in the development of truly autonomous robot. These include myomorphic actuators that mimic muscle action and can be used for locomotion, and Neuromorphic sensors that can detect light, pressure and motion. Also discussed are Biomimetic controllers based on simple invertebrates, and biologically inspired autonomous behaviours.

“Neurotechnology for Biomimetic Robots” is an interesting reference text, which is suitable for students, researchers, and practicing engineers.
