12th International Congress on Insurance: Mathematics and Economics
Dalian, China, July 16-18, 2008
The Organizing Committee and the Scientific Committee are pleased to announce that the 12th International Congress on Insurance: Mathematics and Economics will be held July 16-18, 2008 in Dalian, China. The 12th IME Congress is organized by the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University and co-organized by the School of Finance of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics.

This is the first time that the IME Congress will be held in Asia. The Congress gives researchers in actuarial science and related areas the opportunity to present recent work and exchange ideas, with the aim of promoting both academic research and practical applications.
Papers for presentation should be relevant to the objectives and scope of the international journal, Insurance: Mathematics and Economics. Topics include (but are not limited to): insurance risk models, life insurance, non-life insurance, finance, economics, financial mathematics, and mathematical models related to insurance.
Keynote speakers will be: Phelim P. Boyle, Damir Filipovic, and Elias Shiu.
Prior to and/or after the Congress, tours will be organized for interested participants. Some social activities will be organized during the event as well.
The 12th Congress is dedicated to Professor Hans Gerber on the occasion of his 65th birthday, and a celebratory meeting will be held in his honour following the main event.
