There is a rapidly growing volume of specialist knowledge on China’s recent economic miracle which tries to keep up with the extraordinary development and transformation of this nation’s contemporary economy. Much has already been published on this country’s socio-economic and political transformation and a great deal remains to be written in an effort to document, explain and justify the speed and extent of China’s recent economic successes. In this issue, we would like to bring to the attention of our readership some excellent additions to our Bookshelf, in the hope that these will enrich their knowledge and insight of China’s ongoing economic miracle.
