Universidad Norbert Wiener
The Universidad Norbert Wiener, Lima, Peru is one of the new affiliates of the organisation which is now collaborating with other WOSC societies and institutions to promote cybernetics and systems worldwide.
The Universidad Norbert Wiener was founded by Dr Alcibiades Horna Figueroa in December 1996, and the name of Norbert Wiener promotes investigations in this area. The university has become affiliated to WOSC in response to an application by Ing Alberto Un Jan Liau Hing, Dean of the Faculty of System and Informatic Engineering. The first four faculties began work in March 1977. They were Pharmacy and Biochemistry, Obstetrics, Industrial Engineering, and Management. Since then two more faculties have been added, one of them Nursing, and the other Systems and Informatics.
