Kybernetes selected as the official journal of WOSC

We are pleased to announce that once again this journal has been selected as the official journal of WOSC. Its association with WOSC dates back to the initiative of Professor J. Rose (UK) to found both the organisation and Kybernetes

Contributions from the organisations and institutions which form the federated membership of this international body are particularly valued and are very much appreciated by our readership.

Members of these organisations and institutions are invited to submit articles, papers, communications to the journal (details for submissions are included on the back-cover). In addition, we would be delighted to receive information about research and development activities as well as news of the many communities that are involved with systems, cybernetics and management science worldwide.

Proposals for special issues or features on topics of particular interest to those who work in these fields will also be welcomed as will details of personal research projects and events, meetings and conferences

Norbert Wiener Institute of WOSC

  • Discussions about the issues raised in Kybernetes Vol. 35 No 6, 2006, pp. 923 viz.: Transparent Structure of the Institute. Links to Kybernetes; Membership of the Institute; Funding the Institute are still ongoing.

  • It has been suggested that the institute appoints honorary consultants to advise in the fields of research and development that are under review. This would be a particularly attractive proposition so that expert advice could be given to those who are planning projects in, systems and cybernetics. Research initiatives would benefit and contributors to the literature would be able to obtain support and guidance. Several Kybernetes journal referees have expressed an interest in joining the proposed initiative.

Contributions to this discussion should be forwarded to the Director (Professor B.H. Rudall) or to the WOSC Secretariat.
