Emerald literati network awards presentation

For the third year running Emerald has decided to name and reward the outstanding reviewers who have contributed to the success of the journals. The outstanding reviewer for Kybernetes Volume 37 Nos. 1-10 was Dr Alex. M. Andrew, Reading University, UK. The presentation was held at the Annual Conference of the UK Cybernetics Society, at King’s College, University of London, UK on the 12 September 2009. Present at the ceremony were Professor Robert Vallée, the President of the World Organisation of Systems and Cybernetics who presented the award, the President of the Cybernetics Society, Professor Martin Smith, and Emerald was represented by Professor B. H. Rudall, the Editor-in-Chief of Kybernetes (Figure 1). The presentation to the Kybernetes authors who were awarded the “Outstanding paper”, award, the “Norbert Wiener Award for Excellence”, and the three “Highly Commended” awards took place earlier in the year.
