This special issue is a continuation (Part II) of a compilation of contributions that introduce some of the new techniques on complex systems.
In the preface to Part I, we thanked the Guest Editors for the painstaking work they had put into both the selection and the peer-reviewing of what has proved to be a unique collection of contributions that span a wide area of both research and its applications that are relevant to this topic.
Dr Yi Lin, one of the Guest Editors provided the introduction to these special issues and it has been included in Part I (Kybernetes, Vol. 39, No. 6).
As is our usual custom we have included a selection of the journal’s regular sections. The final issues of Volume 39, Issues 1-10, 2010, will contain both a special issue: “Model-based management”, as well as submitted papers and contributions.
