Welcome to Issue 3 of this 4th volume of Measuring Business Excellence. This is the first issue produced by MCB University Press who have now taken on the role of publishers of the Journal.
We have merged one of our existing titles Quality Focus with Measuring Business Excellence to create an end section of brief and varied insights on quality issues. We trust this section will complement the existing content of Measuring Business Excellence to add to what is already a first class read. We trust also that readers of Quality Focus will find this expanded resource both enjoyable and informative.
We have appointed a new editorial team – Rick Edgeman and Doug Hensler – and they will "set out their stall", as it were, on the next page. With their help we aim to continue the development of this Journal and contribute to the development of the body of knowledge in this very important field.
As a major international publisher on management topics we will be able to bring considerable resources to bear to achieve this aim. In terms of content we will be drawing on key insights from practitioners and academics worldwide. We will also be adding to the way in which this resource is delivered to you, the reader.
From the next volume of the Journal you will be able to access this Journal online via the Internet as well as in hard copy. As part of the online delivery you will also be supplied with an archive of all the articles which have appeared in the 2000 volume of Measuring Business Excellence. Both the current and archival online content will be fully searchable and this resource will grow year on year as the archival content grows. The online facility will also include elements such as abstracts of relevant articles appearing in other journals in the field as well as facilities such as the ability to follow up references cited in Measuring Business Excellence via hyperlinks.
