  • How useful is the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award? About $25 billion worth, according to two economic professors in the USA. Link and Scott estimate that this is the figure saved by the US economy as a result of organizations improving their quality in order to compete for the award. From the start of this program in 1987 until 2000, 41 organizations have received the MBNQA award, 785 have applied and numerous copies of the award criteria have been requested.

  • The Juran Institute has recently teamed up with Ideation International to produce a new service in six sigma implementation. Innovative design for six sigma (I-DFSS) includes training, coaching and certifications for six sigma black belts within your organization. By emphasizing the need for innovation, this tool will ensure that higher levels of inventiveness and predictability are reached.
