Study on sustainable public procurement in the European Union

Article Type: Books and resources From: Management of Environmental Quality: An International Journal, Volume 19, Issue 4

RIMAS at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration has recently published a study on sustainable public procurement (SPP) in Europe, which includes Baltic States. The study was commissioned by DG Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, and it gives an overview of more than 100 SPP government initiatives in the EU-27. The research is one of three studies conducted by RIMAS on CSR policies in Europe. Earlier in 2008, RIMAS published a similar study on CSR awareness raising initiatives in the EU-27. Currently, government initiatives on socially responsible investment are surveyed. The study can be downloaded at: www.sustainability.eu/csr-policies
