The 1st EnvironmentAsia International Conference

The 1st EnvironmentAsia International Conference on “Environmental supporting in food and energy security: crisis and opportunity” is being conducted by the Thai Society of Higher Education Institutes on Environment (TSHE). The conference aims to address the crisis and challenges we face, and seize the opportunity in emerging areas of energy, environment, and food security to achieve sustainable development.

The 1st Environment Asia International Conference shall provide a forum for academicians, technologists, researchers, students, entrepreneurs, and policy makers worldwide to exchange ideas and emerging technologies in the fields of food, energy, and the environment. The conference will attempt to evolve an agenda for environmental policies, and the identification of green technologies and their subsequent implementation for sustainable development. The Conference will take a multidisciplinary approach across various fields and perspectives through which the fundamental questions of sustainability can be addressed.

Sustainable Environment Technologies SET2011

Water and Environment 2011: CIWEM’s Annual Conference

On 6-7 April 2011, CIWEM will hold a two-day Annual Conference, this time under the heading “Water and Environment 2011”, that will address multidisciplinary issues across all areas of the global water and environment sector and will also focus on the issue of the “big society” and the implications for the environment sector.

ECOSUD 2011

Alicante, Spain, 13-15 April 2011

ECOSUD 2011 is the 8th International Conference in the well-established series on Ecosystems and Sustainable Development. The meetings provide a unique forum for the presentation and discussion of recent work on different aspects of ecosystems and sustainable development, including physical sciences and modelling.

This successful series first started in Peniscola, Spain (1997) and continued in Lemnos, Greece (1999); Alicante, Spain (2001); Siena, Italy (2003); Cadiz, Spain (2005); Coimbra, Portugal (2007); and Chianciano Terme, Italy (2009). It was decided to reconvene the conference again in Alicante to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of Ilya Prigogine’s opening of the 2001 meeting which took place at the same university. 6th Dubrovnik Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems

The 6th Dubrovnik Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems will be held in Dubrovnik, Croatia from 25 to 29 September 2011. This conference is dedicated to the improvement and dissemination of knowledge on methods, policies and technologies for increasing the sustainability of development by de-coupling growth from natural resources and replacing them with knowledge based economy, taking into account its economic, environmental and social pillars, as well as methods for assessing and measuring sustainability of development, regarding energy, transport, water, environment and food production systems and their many combinations.
