Air Products acquires majority interest in Korea's leading specialty gas equipment manufacturer for the semiconductor industry

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. has acquired a majority interest in Hanyang Technology Korea's leading specialty gas equipment manufacturer for the semiconductor industry to further build on its electronics position in Asia. The move will enable Air Products to leverage HYT's local business and customer knowledge and further expand its regional and worldwide supply capability. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
In addition to marketing a broad range of specialty gas delivery equipment and ultra-high purity piping systems, HYT also manufactures wet chemical cleaning equipment and systems. These chemical equipment capabilities will increasingly be used by Air Products to support its Air Products Electronic Chemicals (APEC) organization, a full-service supplier and distributor of wet process electronic chemicals and related products and services to the semiconductor industry.
