Palomar Technologies has expanded its capabilities with the introduction of the multi-purpose FAST™ 35 active component attach tool.
The FAST 35 is the industry's only tool that can be configured to utilize laser welding, epoxy, or soldering attach methodologies to automate the active optical alignment, assembly, and fiber attach of active photonic components, such as source lasers, pump diodes and tunable lasers, as well as butterfly and mini-DIL packages.
The product extends Palomar's "Integrated Solution', which also includes wire bonders, die bonders, and automated testers for single-source solution for all photonics assembly needs. It is compatible with a broad range of optical components and package sizes for maximum flexibility from a single tool.
