Nutricia Dietary Care has launched a new gluten free bread mix. It is convenient and easy to use and has been specially developed for use in a breadmaker as well as baking bread in a traditional oven. The mix has added calcium which provides 70 per cent of the recommended daily allowance of calcium in four slices of bread. This is important as 47 per cent of women and 50 per cent of men on a gluten fee diet have osteoporosis. The Gutafin Gluten free Bread Mix is available on prescription for those with coeliac disease and dermatitis herpetiformis.
