Body map makes inroads into Europe
Health and well-being specialist The Healthy Forum has announced its first European licence agreement enabling a leading pharmaceutical group in Spain and Portugal to use its unique "body map" information system.
Grupo Farasierra will launch the body maps, officially known as Virtual Food Pharmacy (VFP) information system, in its 100-strong Fararossa pharmacy chain next month (March). The system helps consumers make relevant decisions for health and well-being purchases by linking their medical condition with detailed dietary recommendations.
Using the body map information from the successful www.thehealthyforum.com Web site, customers and staff will be able to access conventional medical information and complementary health advice at a convenient in-store computer terminal. The 3,000 pages of health and well-being information include a personalised dietary planner.
Retailers buying into the VFP licence are able to incorporate the pages into their own e-commerce sites and promote own label health and fitness products.
