British Dental Health Foundation happy to smile as press coverage goes up 33 per cent

The National Smile Week 2003 question “Are You Happy to Smile?” generated a total of 650 press cuttings – a 33 per cent increase on last year. The combined press and radio circulation amounted to over 35 million “opportunities to view”.

Articles featured in the Daily Express, Evening Standard, Express Magazine, She, Zest, Sugar, Woman and Home, Waiting Room, Family Circle and Shape along with hundreds of regional and local papers.

The Foundation worked on the media campaign with Listerine Mouthwash, who sponsored the National Smile Week public opinion survey, and Clinomyn, who organised a radio campaign with Dr Nigel Carter, Chief Executive of the Foundation as the interviewee.

The number of individual registered campaign supporters grew by 10 per cent from last year and in total 14,000 Event Organisers’ Guides were distributed.
