Taste of Health – the healthy eating initiative from ISS Mediclean

Taste of Health is a healthy eating initiative that has been developed exclusively for use in ISS restaurants; the initiative has been called Taste of Health because we believe that healthy food can be appetising, tasty and exciting and we aim to promote healthy eating in a positive way.

The links between health and diet now feature in the news almost every day so our customers are becoming aware of health issues and are asking for more information on the food we serve. To make this information accessible ISS have commissioned a range of resources to highlight the healthy choices available, healthy choices will be identified with the Taste of Health Logo on menus and at the point of service, to help customers to make healthy choices.

Taste of Health is about giving customers the information they need to choose healthy options; they will still be serving traditional favourites like chips, as this initiative is about giving people the opportunity to make healthy choices.

Taste of Health aims to promote healthy eating in a positive light and encouraging their customers to eat more fruit and vegetables is one of the key messages. During the launch week 28 February-5 March ISS gave a free piece of fruit with every hot main course served in their restaurants. Regular promotions and theme days are planned to keep Taste of Health vibrant and interesting.
