Coffee
One to three cups of coffee a day may protect people from heart disease and strokes. Research published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, based on a study of 27,000 older women, found a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease by about 30 per cent in women who had a moderate intake of coffee. The analysis found that up to 60 per cent of antioxidants in the diet may come from coffee.
