New York Delhi – adding more magic to its products!

Richmond-based Nina Uppal, co-founder of The New York Delhi Company has not stopped since turning her back on a well travelled and lucrative career that saw her working as head of buying in many of the UK's top department stores. Encouraged by friends and family, Nina finally decided to take her mothers superb masala recipe (the key ingredient in creating authentic Indian food) to the wider market. Together with friends in New York and India The New York Delhi Company was formed. With brisk trade on the internet and the products now stocked by several top market London delis, the future for New York Delhi is looking very good indeed.

Magic Masala remains the flagship product and Nina is passionate about only offering lines that remain true to the now firmly established company ethos, which is to combine age-old authentic Indian recipes with the style and quality of the New York Delhi scene.

And to give you an idea of the quality of New York Delhi products, the flagship Magic Masala contains an incredible 15 carefully chosen and blended ingredients compared with an average of only six in most shop bought equivalents that are often ground so finely they lose much of their taste, quality and flavour.

In fact there has been so much interest, both from the public, TV and press, that Nina is now has the opportunity of expanding the range with some exciting new lines while, of course, maintaining the very high standards set by the initial range of products in terms of unmatched authenticity and quality of ingredients.

So what next from a company with such high standards

Well, among' other things Magic Bombay Mix which is the first salvo in their up-coming "drinks party" range. "What I have noticed" says Nina "is that Bombay Mix that you buy off the shelf and unfortunately from the Indian communities has additives such as colouring – totally unnecessary, so what we have decided to do is to produce a 100 per cent natural product again made to an authentic recipe that actually includes Magic Masala.
