Pupils asked to design healthy meal for AFC

The School of Life Sciences at The Robert Gordon University is organising a competition for school pupils in S2 and S3 to construct a "healthy" lunch for a team member of Aberdeen Football Club.

The University runs an honours course in Nutrition and has developed a dietary analysis computer program for education in schools called WinDiets www.windiets.co.uk. Participating schools will be sent a competition pack including a CD of the program to use to design the healthy lunch.

The best three entries will be displayed as posters at the Techfest venue during September 2007. The first prize will be a full copy of WinDiets for the winning school and the pupils and their teacher will be invited to the Caledonian Thistle Hotel where the lunch they designed will be prepared by the chef and served to them and their football hero for whom they will have designed the menu.

The event will run in conjunction with Techfest.
