The control of infection is a requirement in any care setting whether nursery, hospital, school, playgroup or care home.

There is a requirement for training in food safety in catering establishments and this control of infection follows on from that. It gives information on the key bacterial infections causing problems as well as fungi and parasites. The book contains very useful information on risk assessments.

One of the most useful sections is a clear illustration on how to wash your hands, which is important for food safety as well. There are also clear illustrations on when to practice hand washing.

The book is quite small and inexpensive; it is easy to read with terms well explained. It is ideal for students and carers and trainers alike.
