The British Building Maintenance Awards 2002 – founded and promoted by IMBM

The Institute of Maintenance and Building Management invites organisations and individuals to participate in its eighth British Building Maintenance Awards to identify excellence, achievement and innovation in building maintenance, management and estates service.

The awards recognise design in the context of building maintenance, management, execution of works including heritage and "sensitive works") and the survey, planning and management functions associated with this specialised area of the construction industry.

The judges will pay particular attention to those entries detailing:

  • progress, science and technology unusually, sensitively, uniquely employed;

  • demonstrable financial or environmental advantages;

  • clear benefits and advantages to the building users, the community, the general public;

  • innovations that could be used by others within the industry as good practice.

These awards provide an excellent platform and an exciting opportunity for maintenance organisations and individuals to showcase their achievements and expertise. It is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and initiatives, at the same time raising the profile of maintenance and drawing the industry's achievements into the mainstream.

Three awards will be made (first, second, third) and presented at the IMBM's National Conference in November 2002 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Liverpool.
