Malvern Instruments, manufacturer of particle analysis technology, has relocated its worldwide headquarters to a new 60,000 square feet building on a nine-acre greenfield site in Worcestershire, UK (Tel: +44 (0)1684 892456). The building, which will house the company's 164 UK employees, was developed at a cost of around £6 million and includes advanced design and new technology which will enable the company to dramatically improve efficiencies and provide the latest in customer support and service.
The building design situates all key Malvern departments alongside each other as part of an operational structure which encourages greater communications flow and performance effectiveness.
Improved and expanded manufacturing capabilities have been included in the new design. Manufacturing processes have been structured to enable rapid change from manufacturing one product to another, to optimise turnaround time on orders across the product range.
