Baxenden Chemicals Ltd has recently collaborated with Witco Corporation, its US parent company, on a new polyurethane dispersion (PUD) manufacturing facility in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, USA. Both plants have the same design and processes and so for the first time PUD manufacturing facilities on both sides of the Atlantic will be able to offer the same products (Plate 9).

Baxenden Chemicals Ltd recently invested in a new PUD plant at its site in Droitwich, which became operational at the end of 1997. Now Witco Corporation has brought on stream a similar PUD plant in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, commissioned in September 1998.
