3M have just launched a guide that claims to be the first of its kind. The RPE (Respiratory Protective Equipment) Programme Guide is designed to help companies implement a respiratory protective equipment programme safe in the knowledge that they are complying with current standards and best practice and informed on current PPE legislation.

The Guide has been produced by 3M's technical affairs team. The package comprises a printed guide and a CD-ROM costing £29.95 + VAT. The printed guide sets out the programme in nine stages and claims to inform the user on all they need to know on RPE. The CD-ROM contains check lists and records which can be used to review each stage, allowing the programme to be monitored, recorded and updated on an ongoing basis. The CD may be copied for use by colleagues.

Further information is available from the 3M Health & Safety Helpline on: +44 (0) 870 608 0060.
