A new, purpose-built facility at Grant Instruments in Cambridge is to be named after one of the company's founders. The opening of the "Cecil Chapman Building" is important as it coincides with a restructuring of the company to form two distinct business units, one focussed on the laboratory products, the other concentrating on data loggers.

In a bold move, dedicated R&D and technical support teams will join the customer service and sales and Marketing departments to share the new complex.

Ludo Chapman, chairman, commented, "We listen hard to our customers and their needs and I believe that bringing everyone together in the modern facility at Grant will help us even more market input into our products – and enhance the strong team spirit in the business".
