Araldite®: The Future Bond

Keywords: Vantico, Adhesives

Following the recent innovative advertising campaign for their Araldite 2000 range, Vantico, manufacturer of structural bonding and adhesives, announces a bold new educational campaign to make the message stick that traditional joining methods have had their day.

The spincard (Plate 8), Araldite's new educational tool, demonstrates the power of its 2000 Range Adhesives. From the company that claims to have invented the first adhesive capable of bonding metals, Araldite's 2000 Range combines the three basic technologies (epoxy, polyurethane and methacrylate chemistries) which have dominated the structural adhesives scene over the last 20 years and are the most widely used forms of adhesives. The advances made in the development of their structural adhesives are believed to be such that Araidite's 2000 range offers bonding solutions for 95 per cent of all structural bonding applications.

The new educational tool has been developed to answer quickly questions new users may have regarding adhesive bonding. "It can be difficult to comprehend that adhesive bonding is stronger than rivetting and welding, for example", says head of Adhesives Marketing, Tony Mee.

By using our presentation, we can assist in removing preconceived reservations engineers sometimes have about adhesives and show that our products can enhance their products' performance.

We show that our solutions are more than just an alternative. We do this by giving detailed case histories demonstrating the full power of our adhesives range. Users can be linked directly to our technical department for one-to-one discussions on the best methods of joining or take part in interactive presentations.

Following its launch in the UK, the spincard will enter the markets in France, Germany, Benelux, Italy, Sweden, Asia Pacific and Australia.
