It came to our notice recently that Axson is reinforcing its communication and customer service strategy with the creation of an original and interactive Web site coupled with a CD for high speed, regular updating of product information. This appears to be a first in the field of specially chemicals.

The Web site in English (www.axson.com) is now on line. The CD and the Italian, Spanish and German versions of the site will, we understand, be available in the near future. Testing these new tools we found them simple and convenient to use, offering a valuable, time-saving device for users. They will serve the needs of customers and potential buyers more effectively, while providing commercial support for the world sales network.

The Axson site provides customers with information on products and their applications by industrial sector and gives contact details for the world sales network.

The company also offers an innovative on-line technical assistance service, a technical discussion forum and a preliminary ordering module (non-transactional) for the most widely used Axson products.

We found that a search engine enabled customers and potential buyers to find an Axson product for their specific activity or application, or in their reference product range.

The CD includes a specific module for high-speed updating of technical documents downloaded from the site and stored on the customer's hard disk.

The creation of a partner's page, accessible with a password, enables members of the world sales network to find out the latest news, to learn about new developments and to exchange information. They can download a wide range of documents such as product or technology training modules, product launches and photos. This page offers an excellent means of communication which, in the new global economy, will strengthen the links between members of Axson's sales network.

The "What's new?" section enables customers to keep track of developments in the group and its products.

Lastly, customers can obtain an immediate update of additions or modifications to the site by filling in a request form (mailing list). This service is free of charge.
