Is the recipient of the Journal's Outstanding Paper Award for Excellence for his paper

"UV-radiation curing chemistry"

Which appeared in Pigment & resin Technology Vol 30, No 5, 2001.

Dr Christian Decker is a Research Director at the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) in France. He received his doctor degree in chemistry from the University of Strasbourg in 1967. He has been working on radiation-induced reactions in polymer materials at the Research Center on Macromolecules of Strasbourg and at Stanford Research International in Menlo Park in California. In 1975, Dr Decker joined the University of Mulhouse to create the Polymer Photochemisty Laboratory. His research interest include the kinetic study of ultrafast light-induced polymerizations, the characterization of the UV-cured polymers, the photostabilization of polymer materials, and the laser-assisted chemical processing of polymers. Professor is the author of 250 research publications and patents and he has given over 300 lecturers in scientific meetings.
