Illinois Tool Works Inc. agreed to acquire Franklynn Industries, Inc
ITWs Inc. has agreed to acquire all the issued and outstanding stock of mould release and coatings manufacturer Franklynn Industries, Inc. Franklynn will become a part of ITW Performance Polymers, an international business group of ITW. The company will continue to operate at its current location in Loveland, Ohio, and at its other international locations. Franklynn personnel will remain with the business. ITW, a manufacturer of highly engineered components and industrial systems and consumables, is made up of about 700 business units in 48 countries, employs some 50,000 people and is headquartered in Glenview. Its 2005 revenues were US $12.8 billion.
