  • American and British Theatre Biographies: An Index (RR 2013/064). Revises and expands a title first published in 1979 as American and British Theatrical Biographies: A Directory. c.90,000 individuals covered, the index entries linking to 130 sources.

  • Bibliography of Art and Architecture in the Islamic World (RR 2013/065). A substantial two-volume set from orientalist specialists Brill and published as a supplement to Index Islamicus. Vol. 1 on art has 20,596 entries, vol. 2 on architecture, 15.035.

  • Directory of British Associations (RR 2013/043). Twentieth edition of this British reference stalwart and companion publication to the recently reviewed Councils, Committees and Boards (RR 2013/002), both of which will be familiar to generations of UK reference librarians. This edition continues to be available in print only.

  • Encyclopedia of Housing (RR 2013/049). Second edition of this Sage title mainly focused on housing in the USA. A cheaper but less international alternative to the 2012 published seven volume International Encyclopedia of Housing and the Home from Elsevier.

  • Encyclopedia of Video Games: The Culture, Technology and Art of Gaming (RR 2013/068). The first encyclopedic treatment of video games and encompassing, as the subtitle implies, all aspects including addiction, censorship, etc.

  • Everyday Life of Women in America, c.1800-1920 (RR 2013/072). Another Adam Matthew Digital full text collection mainly comprising materials taken from the Sallie Bingham Center for Women’s History and Culture at Duke University.

  • World Food: An Encyclopedia of History, Culture and Social Influence from Hunter-Gatherers to the Age of Globalization (RR 2013/050). Another significant reference work on food. Will merit comparison with the Encyclopedia of Food and Culture (RR 2003/370) and, in relation to the US, The Oxford Encyclopedia of Food and Drink in America (RR 2005/261).
