Production Test Systems Ltd has introduced the Loranger International Corporations' family of fine pitch BGA, MicroBGA and chip scale package (CSP) test and burn in sockets.
Sockets are available in pitches from 0.5mm to 1.27mm with 48 to 1056 I/O pins.
The patented surface mount design allows the user to easily mount and remove sockets from boards without solder, which greatly reduces board downtime. In addition, PCB costs can be greatly reduced as the surface mount design minimizes the number of layers required.
