GenRad and Tecpro join forces in Ireland

Keywords GenRad, Tecpro

One of Ireland's most successful fixturing specialists is to partner with one of the world's best known test companies to offer advanced development and programming services in Ireland. In a move described as "a natural extension of our core expertise", Tecpro and GenRad will offer customised fixturing solutions, advanced programme development and local training for GenRad's range of in-circuit and functional test platforms, including the widely used GR228X series and new TestStation. Larger projects will be managed in partnership, with the full support of GenRad's applications development teams in Manchester, UK and Westford, USA.

Tecpro has been supplying fixtures to the test industry for over 17 years and in January began a programme of expansion to provide greater support for GenRad's products. To cement the relationship further, Tecpro has recruited Laurence Hand from GenRad's applications engineering team, "Laurence has been working with our Irish customers for some years and has a solid understanding of both GenRad and Tecpro technologies", commented Keith Fairchild, operations director for GenRad in Northern Europe. "We have seen unprecedented demand for in-circuit and functional testers in the last 12 months and Tecpro has an excellent track record supplying innovative fixturing solutions. We are delighted that Laurence has chosen to join their team".

The alliance means that manufacturers can select services from both companies in the knowledge that they will be working together to get maximum performance from each system.
