Heraeus launches a new cleaner for removing flux residues from reflow ovens and wave solder machines

Heraeus Materials has announced the introduction of Vigon® RC 100, a new cleaning medium developed specifically for cleaning flux residues from reflow ovens and wave solder machines.

The advantage of using Vigon® RC 100 is that even the dirtiest machine pads can be cleaned without causing problems to reflow ovens and wave soldering equipment, and without having to remove any individual machine parts. Applied by using a spray bottle on to the surface to be cleaned, the cleaner loosens the dirt, which is then easily wiped away using a cloth.

Vigon® RC 100 is a water-based cleaner which exhibits no flashpoint and has minimal odour. Although the cleaner can be used on either hot or cold surfaces, a higher surface temperature will result in shorter cleaning times. The product is, therefore, highly recommended for use on warm machine surfaces.

The cleaner is used undiluted, contains no halogenated compounds, and is biodegradable.

VIGON is a registered trade mark of Dr O.K. Wack, Chemie GmbH, Germany.
