New software released this week by Intelligent Reasoning Systems, Inc. (IRSI) adds powerful extra features to the company's Intelligent Optical Inspection systems.
The AIMSTM 3.1 software provides a significant upgrade for the G4 and G5 AOI systems. Features include enhanced detection capabilities, rotated component support, improved CAD tools, a more robust integrated rework/repair station, and a simplified graphical user interface for even greater ease of use.
IRSI's adaptive, knowledge-based software engine lies at the heart of its Intelligent Optical Inspection system, AIMS. This enables the platform to adapt to normal process variations and vendor changes quickly and ensures the accuracy of the data gathered about the inspected boards. In effect, the software engine reasons much like a trained inspector. The system requires no programming, making it easier to set up and use than competing products. The new software version 3.1 release makes the platform more powerful, user-friendly and flexible.
