Doors are opening wider for companies doing business in the Asia Pacific region, said Nigel Griffiths, Parliamentary Undersecretary of State for Small Business, when he launched the new Asia Pacific Electronics Business Association (APEBA) at the Institute of Civil Engineers in Westminster today.
The launch followed the merger between the Japan Electronics Business Association and the Pacific Rim Electronics Business Association. APEBA will help electronics and high technology suppliers to win and sustain business with Asia Pacific electronics manufacturers through an industry-led, and government supported approach towards trade development between the UK and the Asia Pacific region.
The new association will provide expertise to UK-based component and systems suppliers to compete in a global and expanding market and promote the UK’s electronics industry in overseas markets to increase commercial activity and facilitate business relationships.
