Contax exhibits at Autosport show, featuring automotive electronics

Contax Ltd will be exhibiting for the first time at Autosport International at the NEC on 13-14 January 2005. Its stand, number 501, will be located in the Automotive Electronics section in Hall 19 at the Show.

Contax will be promoting a selection of world-class systems ideally suited to automotive manufacture. These will be displayed as a rolling demonstration on a plasma screen, with technical experts available to provide further detail and discuss specific requirements.

The products highlighted will include the following.

Automated Assembly Systems. Contax will be offering the full range of Komax (and Sibos*) assembly systems including fully automated assembly lines for high volume production and complex bespoke solutions.

X-Ray inspection. Phoenix/X-ray is a market leader in the field of computed tomography (3D) and 2D X-ray inspection. Contax will be profiling their products and discussing the benefits and practicalities of non- invasive inspection and test.

Automated assembly, robotic soldering and dispensing. MTA is one of the most respected manufacturers of micro- assembly systems, with over 1,400 soldering and 500 micro-dispensing units installed worldwide. As exclusive supplier in the UK, Contax is able to provide technical advice and consultancy on all aspects of automated assembly techniques.

Lasermarking and Traceability. As the industry works towards zero PPM (parts per minute) failures, so effective laser marking and traceability becomes crucial. Leading German company, Rommel provides a full range of products including laser and ink jet marking to provide 100 percent traceability.

PCB. Contax will be available to offer advice on all elements of PCB assembly and storage, and can offer a range of systems from world leading suppliers.
