Production automation system specialist, Contax Ltd, has announced the UK availability of the Kolb PS (Power Spray) 02/03 range of aqueous cleaning systems. Kolb is the market leader in Germany and its systems rely on eco-friendly, odourless, solvent free, water-based detergents.
The PS range of single chamber power spray units are designed specifically for stencils, PumpPrint stencils and solder frames, and can accommodate products of up to 736×736×40/30 mm s (29 × 29 in.). The systems are easy to use and provide fast, effective cleaning. The total process time taken for stencils contaminated with SMD paste is approximately 20 min.
Its features include: single push button operation and a fully automatic looped three-step process cleaning. The unit is compact, measuring just 800×1,200×1,580 mm, and constructed from solid stainless steel, with all the relevant process sections built in electrolysis-resistant PVC. The units do not require a water connection, or an output for waste water.
The PS range features a fully automatic cleaning cycle. A space-saving airlock door opens to allow the stencils to be loaded directly into the customised process chamber. Whilst protective round bars in front of the spray rotor are positioned to protect the stencils from possible damage. The door is closed manually and the cleaning process begins.
