MYDATA does the lot for ZOT

For ZOT engineering, a leading supplier of advanced manufacturing solutions to the UK electronics industry, a new MYDATA MY100SX14 pick-and-place machine has extended the company’s printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) facilities to cover virtually every type of component currently available, including the latest tiny 01005 devices.

The new machine complements the company’s existing MYDATA TP11 pick-and-place machine, which is still delivering excellent results after 15 years of use. It does, however, lack the capability to handle some of the latest component types, as these were not even in development when the machine was produced.

As well as its versatility, other key features of the new machine that were of particular interest to ZOT engineering were its high throughput capability of 21,500 components per hour, and the speed with which changeovers can be accomplished with the Agilis feeder system. The ability to interchange feeders between the company’s existing TP11 machine and the new MY100SX14 was another important benefit, as was the possibility of using the same production programs for both machines.

ZOT engineering has installed its MY100SX14 pick-and-place machine in a new purpose-built clean room, enabling the company to meet even the most exact requirements for PCBA. The machine has now been in use for almost three months, and is fully living up to expectations, making it possible for ZOT engineering to offer its customers even faster service, with a wider range of options.
