MYDATA received pick-and-place machine orders from VXI Power and Technology Services

Article Type: Industry news From: Soldering & Surface Mount Technology, Volume 24, Issue 2

VXI Power, and Technology Services of Warrington have both chosen to expand and enhance their SMT capabilities by purchasing high-performance MYDATA pick-and-place machines.

The companies needed to update their facilities to be able to respond more effectively to the growing demand for exceptionally fast turnaround and very competitive pricing on smaller and smaller batch sizes. After carefully evaluating the available options, both companies decided that the MYDATA machines would provide the best and most cost effective way of meeting these challenging requirements.

For VXI Power, the MYDATA machine replaces older SMT equipment and provides the company with increased flexibility, much shorter changeover times, the ability to handle a wider range of components and significantly increased throughput capacity. In addition, the MYDATA equipment is backed by enhanced support, which will help the company to ensure that it consistently achieves maximum productivity and product quality.

At Technology Services of Warrington, the improved flexibility provided by the installation of the MYDATA equipment is again a crucial benefit because, as a subcontract manufacturer, the company is required to provide a rapid and competitive response to an exceptionally wide range of customer requirements. Technology Services is also benefiting from the increased capacity provided by its investment in MYDATA equipment, and from the short changeover times of the machine, which are helping it to maximise productivity.

Although they have only been using their MYDATA machines for a relatively short time, both VXI Power and Technology Services are already seriously considering making further investments in MYDATA products, including user-friendly software packages that will help to further boost their productivity.
