Donald SinclairCoordinator for Tourism, Transport, Infrastructure and Communication at the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (ACTO) in Brasilia, Brazil. At ACTO his primary responsibility is the elaboration, in conjunction with the eight member countries, of a strategic programme that integrates the development of tourism in the Amazon region. For more than 20 years he has been lecturing in Tourism at the University of Guyana, South America, where he is currently Senior Lecturer on leave and past Assistant Dean of the School of Education and Humanities. He also taught Ecotourism at the University of Guelph, Canada and was a Visiting Lecturer in Ecotourism at Florida Gulf Coast University, USA. He has published several papers on various themes in tourism and was also the founding Director of the Guyana Tourism Authority.

Chandana (Chandi) JayawardenaAssociate Dean of the Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts, George Brown College, Toronto, Canada. He was a Visiting Professor of Tourism in a few universities, including the University of Guyana, South America. He was also a Senior Lecturer in Tourism Management at the University of the West Indies for five years. Over a period of 24 years, he held various senior management positions in the Tourism and Hospitality sector in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, South America, the Caribbean and North America. He also managed a well-known eco resort in the Amazon rainforest for two years. He is a past President of HCIMA, UK (now the Institute of Hospitality). He has co-authored or edited ten books. Chandi has presented at conferences and seminars in 35 countries.
