This is a collection of papers published to mark the 25th anniversary of the Hotel and Catering International Management Association. It is aimed fairly and squarely at those in the industry ‐ and has a useful “industry watch” content, covering business strategy, environmental scanning, information technology, communications, human resources, operations, teamwork and marketing, with one eye firmly on the future. The contributors are all well qualified to act as commentators and “gurus”, obviously knowing and understanding the industry well.
