PC coaching wins Euroleaders innovation award

PC Coaching walked away with first prize for creativity in the prestigious Euroleaders Innovation award ceremony which was sponsored by 20 companies including KPMG and hosted at the 9th Business & Innovation Centre's Annual Conference.

There are over 150 BICs in 21 countries across Europe and over 10,000 innovative new enterprises have been created through Business & Innovation Centres (BICs) since the mid 1980s. PC Coaching has offices at the London BIC in Enfield and has already built up a base of blue chip clients including Tesco, the Bank of Scotland, Grant Thornton and McDonalds.

PC Coaching is a mobile training resource which can be used by companies for both rollout training programmes and for the demonstration of technology solutions such as e-commerce.

The company was entered for the Euroleaders award of creativity in marketing and sales. According to managing partner, Ian Surry: "We have built the company fleet to eight coaches in less than a year and are experiencing rapid growth. We have already built a strong market awareness and companies that have used us are confirming that we have designed a product that is mould breaking both in terms of looks and technology. We expect to be trading in mainland Europe later this year."

Head of training at PC Coaching, Philip Gray, agrees that branding has been the key to the company's success. "Our approach is new and dynamic in a very traditional marketplace. Attention to detail is carried through every aspect of the company and we thrive on creative thought. From the start we worked to ensure that our brand values of innovation, simplicity and high quality are also represented in our training. Our trainers have people skills as well as IT knowledge and sessions are brought to life in an environment where people feel comfortable to learn."

Philippe Vanrie, chief executive of European Business Network, the organisation that supports the network of BICs in Europe, commented: "Euroleaders is an international award recognising outstanding achievement in innovation and entrepreneurship and we were delighted, although not surprised, by the standard of the entries. The presentations by the short-listed candidates and their supporting BICs demonstrated the important role the BICs play in cultivating a highly diverse range of successful, innovative business projects in regions across Europe. We now look forward to the awards becoming a highlight of the BICs' calendar."
