e, I or U
e, I or U
This is not an exercise in linguistics. Just to say that the prefix "e" – as in e-commerce, e-business, e-logistics, etc. – is getting to be "old hat". "I" has been slowly but inconsistently taking over (where I stands for Internet) but it's time that someone (me!) took the brave step of establishing the prefix for 2002. How about "i" for integrated or – would that just get confused with the "I" for Internet. Well then, how about "X" for eXtreme or "U" for universal or "T" for total. "Total commerce" has a good ring to it. "What is it?" I hear you ask. Well, it's the integration of traditional and "e" ways of doing business to ensure that "all bases are covered". etailers (e-retailers – do keep up) have failed because many of them were not "Tretailers".
