| Abstract: | Purpose – To report on the Area Studies Symposium at the University of Arizona. Design/methodology/approach – The article provides a summary of the symposium. Findings – Area Studies has a unique following at each institution and no two collections are alike. Originality/value – Confirms the growing importance of Area Studies in the Academic Library. |
