|Abstract:||Polymekon 1488 is a 20 per cent emulsion of a special organically modified polysiloxane which was developed by Th. Goldschmidt Ltd, 150 Field End Rd, Eastcote, Middx, as an anti-foam agent for non-woven textile production. It has subsequently found a wide range of applications, especially in the de-foaming of emulsion paints based on acrylates, vinyl polymers and SB-lateces. Polymekon 1488 is miscible with water in any proportion, the diluted emulsions being stable for several days, and is effective in both acid and alkaline media.|
