| Abstract: | Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to obtain an axiomatic characterization of Lowen's fuzzy compactness. Design/methodology/approach – The paper shows a characterization of Lowen's fuzzy compactness. Findings – The paper shows new results on fuzzy compactness. Research limitations/implications – Clearly, this paper is devoted to fuzzy topological spaces. Practical implications – The main applications are in the mathematical field. Originality/value – The paper presents original results on fuzzy topology. |
